- why i can't join the subtitle A to subtitle B track?
- to join object to other, must be same type.
- the SRT subtitle C can join to ASS subtitle B as same track, SRT/SSA/ASS both are text type. but Image subtitle A(such from DVD) can't join to ASS subtititle B as same track.
- can i move the media file that already as export job in or wait for running?
- no, you will got job failed if you move the media file already as project resources before the job done.
- the media file you used for project resources(video chapter for example) without export, then you move that file, next you open that project, will dialog for you to repair them. so you have to remember where you move to.
- about v2mixer input box, I don't even know how to input the text?
- v2mixer use the v2projectUI framework, paint all without Window Manager. so may feel a little uncomfortable. with locale input method, you just do type, the result will show in the input box.
- anyway, you can hold the CTRL then press X for delete(cut) them all, then inputagain, or CTRL+V paste the text you type elsewhere.
- when i upgrade new version, the project file i save is still work?
- yes, but new key of effect will keep default value and some key we patch as new algorithm will not effect the project, for example:
the Effect Image Mask, the result shape already count when you click the OK, mean shape also save in the project file.
- even new version change the algorithm still doesn't effect that shape.
- because v2mixer don't known which one is you want. in v2mixer original design, most Effect like that do keep the last you saw if that can.
- so if you want update the effect to new algorithm, just click that "OK" button again, without change anything.

- so yes, the codec you last using for decoder(including Effect Decode Codec)also save in the project. after the load the v2mixer will check the chips still available.

- the file used for project, will save the path in the project file.
- for example project file d:\myfile\project1.v2mx, used d:\prj1\1.mp4and d:\prj2\2.oggfor layer, and e:\images\2.pngused for Effect Image Mask
- when i send project1.v2mxto my friend. my friend want to open the project file, that three files also must exist in that path? we have two solution:
- you can send three files too, v2mixer will dialog an repair window if a file can't read, your friend can select the file in new location to fixed.
so yes, if you use c:\users\my_name\my videos\2.mp4, this path also save in the project, and will show in repair window, because path have your user name, may not you want. so please don't use the personal path if you want share the project. - you can put three file same folder of project1.v2mx, then used for the project, when load the project1.v2mx, the v2mixer will try load absolute path, if failed, will check as relative path, if the file is same or parent of the project file, even your friend work on macOS or Linux but you not.
for example, d:\myfile\project1.v2mx, d:\myfile\video\1.mp4, d:\myfile\video\2.ogg, d:\myfile\2.png, because all file same or parnet the directory of d:\myfile\project1.v2mx, you can just package the d:\myfile as zip to your friend, your friend open will work correctly without repair.
- one of file in the my personal path (c:\users\my_name\my videos\2.mp4) already use for project1.v2mx, how can i change to without my_name before send to my friend?
just move that file to somewhere, open the project file, repair, save the project, the project will update to new path.

- the audio output i'm in linux, lock my sound card?
- on linux, v2mixer use the ALSA, v2mixer may(if alsa handle by other agent, such OSS, PulseAudio) lock the sound card for output, you other application(or the v2mixer) may no sound.
- so if you are use the PulseAudio, alsa-plugins is required to install, it will handle the v2mixer without lock and let you enable the volume control.
- i play the 6 channelsaudio in Editor player(the left player), It seems that some channels doesn't work?
- if you audio device only 2 channels, you only got 2 channels audios(front Left and Right), the other 4 channels will be ignored.
- if you have 6 channels device, you play 2 channels audio also got 2 channels, v2mixer doesn't do intelligent thing. this's the original design for you can control the actual results.
- but by default in project settingthe audio channels is 2, so the audio chapter will default with an Effect Channel Mapand already map to 2, so you can hear them all in Program player(the right player).
- if you want export as 6 audio channels and already set audio channels as 6 in project settings, but you only have 2 channels audio device, you can keep Effect Channel Map do map as 2 channels, but change to 6 (and the Effect Channel Map) before you export.
